Mercia Minds is the community outreach side of Mercia AI. It offers face-to-face events like free talks, live demos, and beginner-friendly workshops to help people in Coventry and the wider Mercia region understand artificial intelligence—without the jargon.
These are held at local venues like Coventry Central Library and are a key part of Mercia AI’s mission to make AI more accessible and empowering for everyone.
Do I need to be a business owner to attend a Mercia Minds event?
Not at all. Mercia Minds events are open to anyone curious about AI—whether you're a freelancer, student, jobseeker, or just interested in how AI might affect everyday life. All events are designed to be friendly, local, and practical.

Are you insured?
Yes. Mercia AI holds Professional Indemnity Insurance to protect both us and our clients. Full details are available on request.
Can I use your services outside the UK?
Yes—except for the USA and Canada, due to insurance restrictions.
Do you just use ChatGPT for everything?
Nope. We’re tool-agnostic.
We use the right AI tools for the job—whether that’s OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Mistral, xAI, Perplexity, or open-source platforms. You’ll see them mentioned in our blog posts, but we’re not tied to any single vendor. You shouldn’t have to be either.
We also go beyond chat-based tools. Mercia AI actively uses machine learning (ML) to analyse small data sets, build custom solutions, and generate deeper insights. Our hands-on ML work includes tools like ML.NET, Scikit-learn, and Python, and we’ve also worked with platforms like Google Colab and Azure AI Foundry for experimentation and training. We're not just about prompting chatbots—we build with AI, too.
