We’re proud to introduce Mercia Minds – a new face-to-face initiative from Mercia AI, designed to bring practical, people-first AI help to our local community.
Looks at logo.
No, we’re not launching a space company.
Yes, the logo has three pointy things that look like rockets.
They’re spires – not rockets – and they represent Coventry’s three Cathedrals (because of course we have three of the things and Mercia AI is based in Coventry).
To kick things off, we’re running a free AI Q&A session at Coventry Central Library. Whether you're a jobseeker, small business owner, creative, or simply AI-curious, this is your chance to ask anything in a relaxed, welcoming setting – no jargon, no slides, no pressure.
We know that AI can feel confusing, overwhelming, or just out of reach. Whether you're a jobseeker, a small business owner, a creative, or simply curious, this free session is your chance to get real, jargon-free answers in a friendly, local setting.
What is it?
A relaxed, one-hour Q&A hosted by Mercia AI at Coventry Central Library. No slides, no hype – just straight answers to the questions you’ve always wanted to ask about AI. We’ll cover the basics, bust some myths, and talk about how AI could actually help you – at work, in your job search, for your education, or even in daily life.
Who is it for?
Anyone in Coventry or the wider Mercia region who wants to understand AI better. No technical skills are needed. This is a community-first event designed to make AI more accessible, more useful, and more human.

Why we're doing this?
Mercia Minds is part of Mercia AI’s wider mission: helping people across Coventry and Mercia understand, explore, and benefit from artificial intelligence – responsibly and effectively.
This first session is just the beginning. We’ll be running more face-to-face events in the future, all designed to empower our local community to use AI in ways that actually make life easier.
If you're ready to get clearer about AI – and ask anything you've been wondering about – we’d love to see you there.
